Do not allow the rope to come into contact with sharp objects
When the rope touches sharp objects such as rock edges and bears heavy loads, the risk of rope breakage increases. It should be protected to avoid direct contact between the rope and sharp objects.
Doing so may cause scratches on the safety rope, even if they may not be visible on the surface at times, but the inside may have already broken. So it is important to be careful not to let the rope bear too much load as much as possible.
Do not use such ropes
Ropes are consumables, and using ropes with scars can be very dangerous. Regular inspections are necessary, and new ropes must be replaced immediately upon discovering any injuries. Rope that has been overused for more than two years also needs to be replaced. In addition, ropes that have been subjected to sudden weight, such as climbing ropes used by people who fall during rock climbing, must never be used again.
Rope knot
It may break due to the impact of weight, so extra attention should be paid. If the safety rope has a knot, it is necessary to pull one end of the rope before use to restore the knot.
When cutting the rope to an appropriate length for use, the incision should be made properly. When using nylon and other synthetic ropes that are most commonly used outdoors, simply bake the cut part with fire to melt it, and then pinch it tightly with fingertips. Applying epoxy resin for fixation will be safer. Temporary rope end treatment can be fixed with transparent tape. But if the safety rope is wrapped with tape after cutting, it is easy for the cut to loosen. Therefore, it is recommended to roll the tape on both sides of the predetermined cut before cutting.
